Illustrator Techniques

Memory Aids:

Pen tool –

• Let’s you draw straight lines with anchor points
• You can then add or delete these points to furthermore change the shape
• At the top left you can change the colour of the shape

Pathfinder –

• Find it in: Windows , Pathfinder (at the top of the screen)
• Select both of your shapes and then you can choose the following – Unite , Minus front from back , Intersect , Exclude.

Gradient and Texture –

• Find it on the right hand side of the screen
• Let’s you choose multiple colours, angle of gradient and the opacity
• Add a mask and place a texture in the black thumbnail
